Sandpaper, also known as abrasives are essential to get that great finish

Whether you are puttying up holes in new work or sanding the paint off the boards of an old house, if you don't give the surface at least a light rub down you will end up with a less than acceptable finish once you have completed your painting project.

Sand paper is graded from P12(the roughest) to P2500(the smoothest/finest).

The most generally used grades by painters are P16(for grinding paint off hard wood boards) to P240(for finer finishing work like sanding between coats of varnish).
